Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. As a child, Rose was involved in activities like basketball and kickboxing. She made her debut in professional competition when she was 18 in the Invicta Fighting Championships, where she won two fights via submission. Dana White took notice of her performance and had her accepted into the strawweight division of UFC at the end of December 2014, when she was barely 22. In the course of Rose s career she has experienced periods of the highs and lows with each time coming out on top. Rose fought Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout that lasted just three minutes of the round One. Rose was also given the title of Fighter Of The Night and made history as it marked the first time that a woman has ever been a fighter at a championship level in a major promotional organization all over the world. Namajunas had several successful fights after this win, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win brought Namajunas Performance Of The Night recognition from UFC.
