Kim Victoria Cattrall born 21 August 1956 is an British Canadian actress from Canada. Best known for the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO Sex and the City series for which she received nominations for five Emmy Awards and the four Golden Globe Award, winning the Golden Globe 2002 for the best supporting actor. She reprised the role in the film Sex and the City (2008) as well as Sex and the City 2 (2010). In the 80s she played lead roles as a Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin in addition to Porky's. Kim Cattrall's performance in the HBO TV show Sex & the City is her most memorable role. The part as Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was a crucial point in her professional life. The film was not just an instant hit with audiences within her country of birth, but it also led to her becoming a world-renowned star. Her most well-known role was portraying the character La Dolce Vita, a comedy drama. The film won an Oscar, and received the Golden Palm in Cannes Film Festival in 1960. Then she moved to America and started playing in many movies. In the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was recognized as a Venusian. Soon after, her appearance on the screen in Blood Alley won her the Golden Globe for Most Promising young actor.
